Replacing Right Side Outside Mirror Glass

The passenger side outside mirror glass separated from the backing plate and there is a significant cost difference between 2011 part # 7L6-857-522 ($171) and 2015 up part # 7P6-857-522 ($120) online at vwpartsvortex.com

The shape of the mirror on all T3 Touaregs in USA seem to look the same, has anyone had to replace the mirror glass and can I use the "7P6" version ?

Found this mirror glass on ebay with the blind spot feature, had this on a Passat and it was useful but again it has the "7P6" part # reference.

Any insight would be appreciated.

I super-glued my mirror and backing plate back together and the fix lasted the next tens of thousands of miles until I sold the car.

VW Touareg models are as follows:
Generation 1: T1 is model 7LA & facelift T2 is model 7L6
Generation 2: T3 is model 7P5 & facelift T4 is model 7P6
Generation 3: T5 is model CR7 [Not available in "VW Atlas" North America!]

The reflective surface of the mirror is still on the backing plate, I thought about super glue and will give that a try tonight but I think if the reflective layer was still on the mirror glass that would be a good solution.
