Issues with Searching Forum

I am new to the Forum having brought a 2008 3.0 TDI Touareg and everytime I try to search I get an error message. I am trying single word searches but they fail. Any suggestions? Thanks

The Search function is ****ed and the site owners simply can't be arsed to fix it.

How to Search is in my signature below as is the buying a used Touareg thread which will help you get up to speed on what to expect and will probably save you money so don't ignore it!

VW Touareg models are as follows:
Generation 1: T1 is model 7LA & facelift T2 is model 7L6
Generation 2: T3 is model 7P5 & facelift T4 is model 7P6
Generation 3: T5 is model CR7 [Not available in "VW Atlas" North America!]

Thanks noobytoogy, I had a feeling it might have been like that.

I've been struggling with hot starting and figured it is the starter motor. Hence wanting to search topics.

I'm in the process of trying to remove the starter motor without taking the engine out, threads seemed to say it was possible. I have the starter loose now after much removal of other stuff but I now think it is impossible to remove, that is a bit of a frustration.

Garage
The owners of this site have stated that they are working on the defective search function.... have faith.

Use the Google custom search box and make sure that no threads on your subject come up first ( to prevent duplicate threads). Put in your problem along with the year and model. In most cases this sites threads will be close to the top of the results. Hopefully this helps.

.

Yes I have a Vag-Com cable and software. No it's not from Ross-Tech but works flawlessly
