Hi ark! what a small world. We had just finished running John Bull and on my way out to 3N16 I spotted the red Touareg parking so I drove up to it. As I got closer I say the shadow blue one so I had to say hello. It was nice to see you guys. Maybe one day we can do a run together.

Good to see you in Big Bear. You caught us playing out there :)

For us, this was the trip with my Amateur Radio club members of MojaveRATS. A few of them also volunteer for the US Forest Service and wanted to show us around their backyard. We were there for the weekend - doing the Holcomb area, Bertha Peak, Skyline. On Sunday we did Coon Cabin off of 38/Heart Bar, returning over a ridge trail due north of the Cabin that was spectacular but required significant trail clearance including winching fallen trees out of the way.

I dont know how much you saw of VegasMatt and I playing on that obstacle. I'll be posting pix shortly.

Did you catch the Cessna crash into Baker Pond? We happened on scene within seconds of it happening.

I'll likely be out in Bear when it cools down.
