Hi Mikemac,
Sorry for not responding sooner. I’ve been all caught up with watch the US presidential dominations. Ha ha. Let me attempt to answer all of your questions.
1) Wood Trim: No, I didn’t do the dash. The kit I purchased had a few pieces for the dash (not the piece that goes over the glove box though), but I thought it looked a little tacky. Doing the center console area and leaving the rest factory in my opinion is a good balance. And yes, the kit comes pre-cut for the Treg specifically, although some pieces are off slightly.
2) Exhaust Tips: I bought the tips from a local parts store called Part Source. The tips are made by a company called Ractive, and they cost me about $60 each (Canadian). They are bolt-on tips, but I had them cut and welded on for security. The only problem is they stick beyond the bumper a little because they’re not angled to match the curve in the actual bumper. I heard that Ractive no longer makes these tips, but I have seen them advertised on various websites. The tips come in black chrome (like mine) and regular chrome. If you want the tips badly and can’t find them online, I might be prepared to see if I can get them locally here in Toronto for you.
3) Roof Rails: Yes, the rails are factory
4) I-pod Setup: Don’t have any such setup. Sirius satellite keeps me entertained enough.
5) Factory Wheels: Thanks for the compliment. 20’s are great, but I wish I went with 22’s. I have just come to prefer the look of a lower profile tire. I would have gone with 22’s but I got discouraged after reading all the anti-22’s posts on this forum. The factory wheels I took off are 19’s. I leased my Treg, so I have to return it with the factory 19’s.
I hope I answered all of your questions. Feel free to ask as many questions as you like. Seems like you’re into this mod stuff just as much as me. I can talk about this stuff all day. You can also email me directly at:
