Just heard word that the 2009 MY Touareg 2 V6 TDI's are more likly to show up for delivery in March/April of 2009!

I am not sure I understand the question! What do you mean by "give up"?

Yes I'm meaning value. I'm just hoping that the value is not too low. I haven't checked what the values really are for our Treg's, but reading some of the threads about others that have traded in their rides leads me to believe that the market has lowered our values considerably.

Earl,

I would say that the values of the V6 and V8 Touareg's have diminished in the last 8 months due to the econmomy and the soaring gas prices.

They have also decreased due to the fact that VW has dealer cash bonuses on their V6's to the tune of $6K and the V8's to the tune of $8K

THis being said, I would still reccomend selling on our own to try and get the most value out of any SUV.

On the other hand, if it is Touareg V10 TDI, I beleive they have held their values considerably better due to the fact that their are very little out there and no factory incentives came w/ the 2008 MY Touareg V10's!

Thanks for the on going information. Problem is my dealer doesn't seem to think they can order V6 TDIs yet. I've toyed with the idea of doing business remotely with you just because you seem to be better educated on things going on than local dealerships. Problem is, we will likely have a trade, either our XC90 or my GMC Canyon [which ever does better] and dealing with trades all the way to PA is at best difficult. not to mention just the extra expenses involved with the distance.

Would at least like to verify that you've placed actual "special orders" for customers with these March/April delivery estimate?

I live in Chicago and I bought my V10 from Chris last summer and I traded in my V8 Touareg instead. I must say that experience was stellar and I was also concerned about distance and trading in a car 800 miles away from home, but at the end of the day we got 500 more than was originally estimated, so I would'nt worry about distance in this case, just talk to Chris, get him more updated info about your cars and he will tell you trade in prices.
