Finally found a VW to tow my boat.3500LBs. My wife loves it, V8 touareg is the best thing VW did in a long time. Bought this one used with 39K miles. Hope VW does what they are saying and bring the pickup to the states with a Diesel and AWD with a tow package and I will be waiting in line.

First off, welcome to the club, you'll definitely enjoy the Touareg, and finding an '04 with such low mileage is amazing!

As far as I know it's always been stated from the start though, that the Amarok will never come to the US, it was purely designed for South America/South Africa/Europe; there was a thread on here a while ago about it

An '04 with <40k miles is amazing... What is that anyway less than 6k/year (?) that's remarkable. Anyway, welcome!

Welcome fellow v8 owner! We just got ours a couple months ago and love it. We don't have to use our Cummins Ram to tow our little RV anymore. Although the Ram gets better milage the treg sure does ride better.
