Howdy Y'all

New member in Texas here with a recently procured 2009 V6 TDI. I am a TDI Club member, so it will be fun getting to know the Treg side of the family.

I appreciate the information. I find the TDI Club has been a valuable resource, and it appears the same is true here.

About the driveshaft bearing issue, should these just be replaced preemptively (50k mile interval cited in above link) or is the bearing support "fix" I have seen (Drive Shaft Clamping Center Support) the way to go?

I got some service history with my T2, but nothing on bearing or driveshaft repairs or trans/diff fluid exchanges. Those are probably the two items at the top of my list after I get new tires installed today.

I do not know if anyone has thoughts, but I decided on 255/55r19 Nitto Crosstek tires after seeing good reviews and suggestions that this size works well. It may be one of the more A/T type tires available for a 19 inch wheel, and the price was more reasonable than most rubber for the 19s.
