"TMPS on/off" as an option in MFI

I VAG'd my '04 V8 to have the "TMPS on/off" as an option in my MFI.

Procedure:
Start VAG-COM ==> select ==> chassis ==> 65-Tire pressure ==> coding 07 ==> In my case I changed the coding from 0211390 into 0110390 ==> Do it !

Works absolutely error free in my Touareg.
This is the backup for me when the TMPS batteries will be empty.

Speaking of which, where are the TMPS batteries located? and are they easy to change?
Thanks

They are located in the wheel and are easy if you have your own tire changing machine.

The TPMS batteries are incased in epoxy, they can't be changed. You need new sesors when they die. They should last at least 6 years. The industry is trying for 10, but not there yet.
