Spent $91k NEW this week on a Touareg and it was missing options listed on VW Australia Website as included, had Paint Damage, Pulls to the left ,Cant even use an ipod without some special cable. Very Upset with VW Australia.
Website says the V6 has ALL the options of a 150TDI element, which means it has Paddle Shift and Privacy Glass, which it wasn't on the car when collected.
Paint damage and pulling to the left needs to be addressed to the dealer to be sorted. That should be covered alright if you contact them, these things do happen at times. I know that you don't always see these kind of things at delivery so once discovered it is important to contact the dealer.
As for what is written on a website page, it states the 150TDI Element has 8" Yukon alloy wheels and eated leather-wrapped multi-function steering wheel with gearshift paddles. 8" wheels??? and what is eating the steering wheel? Sounds like the call centre is now doing web pages on the side.
Did you research the actual official specs with the brochure - https://secure.volkswagenaustralia.c...ROMY17_WEB.pdf
Quite clearly states that the V6 TDI does NOT come with Gear shift selection paddles or Dark tinted rear side windows and rear window, 65% light absorbing. Didn't you notice these at delivery were missing? Did you even see a model in the showroom before buying or ask the salesperson?
Ipod cables - has been a requirement for the RNS850 system from day dot, brochure states: Media Device Interface (MDI), located in centre console and supplied with USB and auxiliary input connection cables, so going by that did you not receive them?
It appears that the only bad experience here is the original poster's lack of buying research and trying to shift the blame elsewhere, what all out of Mazda CX9's in black next door were they on the day!
