Anyone else dissapointed with VW Dealer Service ?

Getting a little sick and tired of the pathetic service offered up by my current VW dealer, considering I bought two new cars from them in the past 12 months (Touareg and Golf). Prefer not to name the Melbourne based dealer, curious if anyone can reccomend a decent dealer that can offer Toureg service in or around Melbourne. Last car was an Audi, so i was spoiled with professional, attentive, prompt service

Got the 60,000 service, $867.00 for oil, filters, wiper blades, sump plugs. Dealer said I get a new battery underwarranty as the under seat one did not read well,so this is a bonus and preventative,so I say good. I like Southern Classic, for me they do a great job, never any arguments.

had a fair few problems with Camberwell VW, steer away from their service dept.

There sales team are fine, its just after you buy the car the service is pretty bad.

Seems like getting good service in Melbourne is a challenge if not impossible; feeling like UltraTune or LubeMobile could probably offer a better solution than a VW dealer. I called VW to complain and was told by the nuff-nuff in the call centre that "Dealerships are franchised and as such not directly controlled by VW, we suggest you contact the dealer principal". Seems to confirm my suggestions that VW arent interested in return business, maybe they arent in Australia for the long haul. The Audi Q7 is looking pretty damned good to me, or maybe a good old Landcruiser, at least they know how to treat customers

Dont deal with VW's call centre...I made the same mistake when complaining and it falls on deaf ears. I think its an outsourced call centre as they had to make other phone calls back into VW when I had issues. Contact VW H/O direct number in Botany not the Cust Serv 1800 number and ask the receptionist to put you through to either the National Service Manager or the Marketing Manager as the marketers hate to see disgruntled consumers and may help cutting through the crap within VW.

Good luck

I have been getting my V8 Treg serviced by Burwin VW @ Ferntree Gully. Excellent service todate and no reservation in recommending them.

I am due for my 60,000 service shortly (actually done 64,000) but due to cost ($1300) I have delayed for a few weeks.

Cheers

I have found Werribee VW to be very good. On that, I decided to puchase a Gold for my wife there as well, I have no complaints about the vehicle and the way they operate.
