Hi,
I installed the new plug on the factory wiring harness. I have no lights what so ever or power to plug! What am I missing here? Seems odd to me there is nothing. Any suggestions before I dive in and start to take panels off.
I used plug 118015 maybe to deep of plug for wires to connect?

My recommendation would be to run a Ross Tech - VAGCOM scan to see if you have any related fault codes before you start taking stuff apart. If your trailer has LED bulbs, the Treg may not "see" that you have a trailer due to insufficient resistance from the bulbs. The internet has fixes for that as well (both DIY splicing some resistors into the trailer wiring and nice clean kits that go in-line with the plug).

This one is a bit overpriced, but would be a clean and reliable fix if the LED trailer lights are the problem.

Best of luck. There is a thread on here with VAGCOM owners who are willing to lend them out or meet you to run a scan, so hopefully there is one near you. If you are a DIY type of person, just buy one for yourself. Mine saved me at least two trips to the dealer for our Audi A4 and let me change a setting on my Treg so I can open the tailgate with a trailer connected. Since I was never able to get our Audi back form the dealer without spending at least $1000, I am sure the VAG-COM more than paid for itself.
