As Nooby said the 2" ball is a standard size for many towing applications. The 2" also refers to hitch and receiver size which is
2" x 2" . Also if trailer lights are LED you will need adapter plug to make lights work.

Few things:

2" receiver
2" receiver bar/pipe/ball mount/hitch
2" ball

The receiver is the square hole on your vehicle (2") or metric equivalent.

That is the difference between you and me, I never go back to the carpet store.

Go to your friendly UHaul dealer...they'll set you up with the tow bar, 2" ball, light adaptor. Then rent something from them and try pulling it around town for half a'd be in and out for under 75 bucks. Shorter wheelbase UHaul box trailers can be a PIA to maneuver...find an open lot and figure out the mechanics of reversing. If you can master it with a small UHaul, you can do it with anything.

Get some nice shackles and a weighty enough tow strap and keep them near the spare tire for emergency good samaritan work.
