search for a "toy hauler" The rear comes down like a ramp and you basically put the "toys" in the living area.

I've only seen big RVs with such "toy" compartments but never a caravan with it...I looked for them here in European sites and it looks that some Dutch company imported them just last year...I think they're awesome...but still very pricey for us here...

Toyhaulers are common over here. Taje a look at a few rv maker websites and youll get a good idea of how they are laid out. Check out jayco.com or keystonerv.com ... there are others but it'll give you a good idea of what we tow in this part of the world

Looking at your pic's, the rear end of your Treg looks a bit to low and the front of your travel trailer to high (nose up).

Here is a link that will give you a lot of info about WDH adjustement.

RV.Net Open Roads Forum: Towing: Travel Trailer Hitch Set-up Procedure

It's very easy. There are 3 adjustments. You have the TT level, you set the height of the hitch ball, to level the tow vehicule, you set the right chain link of the bars and third, to have the bars parallel with the trailer tongue, you set the hitch head angle.

OK, I know, I'm a newbe here but not a newbe in towing TT and set up WDH.

And by personnal experience, more than 70% of rigs with WDH on the road are not well tuned, especially the one's that where set by RV dealers...

You are correct Most RV DEALERSHIPS HAVE NO CLUE ON WHAT THEY ARE DOING.

I SET MY HITCH UP. trust me when I say it is set properly. A WDH will never remove all sag, IF it does, then its too stiff...

the truck drives well in WIND, hands free without drifting, and honestly other than hills and bumps, you forget it is back there. Even passing semis don't bother the setup.

So IMO that's fine tuned for me... its all about the driving experience and the weight.

SO 3k miles later I finished up a Colorado, Utah vacation pulling the RV and 2 bikes my Ducati and a 700lbs cruiser...

Weights about the same, RV was 7500lbs now axle weights were nearly the same though

WHOLE SETUP DID AWESOME... 13.5 mpg going to Utah.. 13 from Utah to Colorado
14mpg back to Utah and 9MPG coming into Nevada. (NV had Ridiculous Head winds (up to 40 mph) )
I even had to slow to 50 mph on the flat because the head wind was so significant , it would try to run the truck hot. (plus it was 112* the day we came home)

YES I use a WDH , screw the hearsay on the internet, IT works fine and honestly I wouldn't pull a load this heavy without it.

According to the scales I didn't over gross anything... Tongue weight was 750lbs according to a scale I bought specifically to measure tongue weight.

WDH setup is a necessity, read instructions and do it yourself, trust no one to do it right for you. and do it while the trailer is fully loaded.

honestly the rv pulls better full than empty. Empty the tongue weight is nearly 1000lbs. even with the WD hitch the sag is significant and the tail wags the dog a little. luckily I only use it like that to and from the storage yard (25 miles away)

Bring on any questions...
