Thumbs up Xenon fog lights!! full Xenon kit from Lexus!

I have another of my crazy modz
Love Xenon light s and wanted to perform this mod long time ago but was too busy.

Why I picked Toyota/Lexus Xenons? Because they last forever!!! Had these bulbs on two cars over three year period used them every day as DRL’s and they still work great!!!

Bulbs -> Phillips 35 watts these bulbs the same size and shape as OEM Touareg bulbs!

This mod is not an easy one; you need some creativity J and extra cash and time to spend.

I had to make special brackets to protect ballasts from water and dirt
Drilled few holes in a frame and attached ballasts

Everything else was pretty easy put everything back together and enjoy!!!

I guess at that point they are no long fog lights but driving lights. Fogs are not meant to be that bright. I am satisfied with the amber Ion bulbs I stuck in my fogs.

No wrongs but aftermarket bulbs not that great and I think its like a cheap way out.

Xenons look great during the day and car looks much better at nigh not to mention visibility improved!!

will post pictures with headlight and folights on!

I saw some BMW and Lexus models with Xenon foglights so why not on a Touareg??

Did you switch out to projectors, or is this a bulb-only conversion for the reflector housing?

Matt

I was thinking on adding lenses but it would be way too much. It turned out even better than I expected.

Xenon bublbs were dircet fit I did not have to glue them like in my other cars.

That is great, but if memory serves me correct, running just the fogs is not legal in PA the last I knew. I am sticking to what I said earlier, they are now driving lights, not fog lights with that much light output. But as long as you are happy with the out come, that is all that matters.
