Perhaps this benefits someone. Tikkos Racing (Greece) has an after market oval tip that is specific for the Touareg. The part# is 151602-C and can be found on Tikkos Racing� -> New products.

Please discard this statement. I've seen a photo of these tips installed and they are more round than oval and look pretty bad if you ask me.

Thanks. Yes, it's a TDI (V10). The tips are Volkswagen OEM and can be fitted to almost all models (except R5 and your need the included rings to connect to V6). They retail for around Euro450/USD310, but I got them new for Eur225/USD155.

 

Has anyone tried putting this VW 7L0-071-910 on a 09 Touareg TDI? These tips will fit V8, V10 TDI, and 08 V6. My VW dealer's sales dep't is not sure it will fit a 09 TDI. They think the TDI exhaust is different from the V6 gas. It sells for $450 US.

 

Your dealer is partially right. The V6 pipes are smaller, hence the little extension as seen in the photo. I've fitted these to my 2005 V10 an they fit perfectly. I assume the diameter of the exhaust hasn't changed for the 2009 model.

Just had the 7LO-071-910 installed on my 09 TDI V6 and it looks fantastic. The TReg looks fast even when standing still. It's a perfect fit and doesn't require the rings. Very easy. Just unbolt the old and bolt in the new. No torch needed.

 

I have ordered and received the oval stock pipes for the V8 and will be having them fitted to my 2009 TDI. Some fabrication is required. I'll have them completed by Friday and post some pictures.

I got them here in The Netherlands through a second hands site, even-though they were new.. I see I messed with my previous calculation, but USD325 is still nice.

I just took these with my Iphone, so quality is not great. I bought the stock tips from VW for a V6 Touareg but they don't fit on the TDI. ($225) I then took them to a fabricator and he welded them to the ends of the existing pipes. ($100) Not ideal but works for me.

 

Okay so What i have found is for the V6 TDI oval exhaust tips Left is a 7L6-253-681-L listing for 225.00right is a 7L6-253-682-G listing for 225.00We have them available through the VW warehouse takes about a week to get them to you. Internet pricing is $175.00 each that is a savings of $100 on the pair if you reference you saw them on here.

Are these the same ones that are coming with the factory Lux Limited package?
Or are they the same ones as the 2008 V10 tips?
