BADGE DELETE

I never set out with the intention to do this to my 2004 v10 vw touareg, but some really messed up thing happened and I basically needed to repaint the whole thing. So I figured why not make it a mystery car?

Garage
looks good. Definitely a lot of work for just removing badges. I like my "V10 TDI" emblem on the right side though.

I think you did great work, but I personally like the emblem. It's a pride thing. I'm even regretting blacking out my VW emblem because no one can read it.

Nice!

But the question on everyone's mind now (or at least mine) is what is the really messed up thing that happened??? Understandable if you don't want to share, but you did mention it in the first place....

I agree that you did great, professional work, Sailboart29. I would not hesitate to have you work on my vehicles. My personal opinion is that Volkswagens lose a degree of class when they are stripped of their emblems. It's a practice that I have always been at odds with, but I do realize that some Volkswagen people are enthusiastic about the badgeless appearance. So it is beyond the gauge of good or bad, simply personal taste. I am sorry that some bad thing happened that you needed to repaint your Touareg, but I imagine your paint work improved its appearance greatly. Telluride...what a beautiful place to live!

this is like... for entertainment purposes only of course but I will say...
lets call it the best/worst girlfriend ever... She spent about 20 minutes I gather creating scratch art on literally every panel, even tried to write out some actual expletives. Butt she covered the damages and we kept going out for another 4 months. but when I started having to hold her down on the bed all night while she had seizures from trying to OD on pills I started to think maybe I should back out of the relationship. oh, that and trying to get me arrested all the time. I figure now that it doesn't say volkwagen she and/or her new boyfriend wont recognize it.

Sailboart29, bless your heart, buddy! I have had friends who have lived through similar situations. You get a pass for going completely incognito! I hope this fresh start is the beginning of better, happier times for you!
