HELP NEEDED to make decision!!!

I posted message in the classifieds regarding my search for an 06 Treg TDI and last night I came across an 04 Touareg TDI locally here that is Silver with all the options possible for that year. It has 49,000 miles and priced to sell. My reluctance is the 2004 reputation for problems as I don't want to be at the dealership all the time and purchase a money sucker. The VIN # is WVGHHXXLX4D051309. Any input would be appreciated.

The VIN is of the more preferred later number, but there are no guarantees on anything. You would just have to get the service history on it and see what has been done. I think there were not as many issues on the V10's, but not totally sure.

I just purchased a Silver 2004 V10 loaded late VIN with 58K miles. Prior to purchase I had the same concerns you have but I did the research and decided that you only live once (and I didn't want to wait for a diesel Audi Q5). So I bought the Treg and the most extensive extended warranty. love the big brute. So test drive V10 and you'll fall hard for it. Keep in mind that at that mileage you'll be looking at sooner rather than later replacing tire TPMS sensors and perhaps the main battery as well. Mine did.
