About manufacture warranty!

hi, guys:
I just bought a 2004 Touareg V6 yesterday. The seller said this car still under the manufacture warranty until 2009(5 years/ 60,000). how can i check this is true or not. otherwise, do i need contact the VW dealer? please give me some information about that. thanks a lot.

Have you looked in the owner's manual?

The car has a basic limited warranty for 4 years/50,000 miles. The powertrain warranty is 5 years/60,000 miles.

You can go to any VW dealership and have them plug in your VIN and they can tell you almost anything about the car. Service appointments, warranty repairs etc. I would have done that first to see if you were buying one of the vehicles that has had nightmares. Now that you have it, go to VW and get the facts on your vehicle.
