Turning off the Pressure Monitoring System

Hi, I changed the wheels of my 04 trg from 19 to 17inches to get a better tires. But I couldn't put the pressure monitoring device to the smaller wheels since they are customized to fit the wheel sizes. Ever since, it says FLAT TYRE on the monitor and I couldn't do anything about it. Heck, I don't think I need the PMS so I want to turn it off. Any advise how to do that. Tnx

I took mine out completely and it is not hard but you do need a VAG Com cable and software to do it. Here is the link to the procedure I used to remove mine: http://www.clubtouareg.com/forums/f4...diy-17986.html

The dealer will not touch it and the cable is available here: www.ross-tech.com . Get the cable and software then read the procedure I posted the link for. It will no longer be there and no more errors at all.

Get the cable and software, then you can mess with that stuff. There is no other way really. I am not from SLC, I moved here 7 years ago for the skiing.

On my MFI I have the option to turn off the TPMS right there. Go in to the the tyre settings and the last option is an on/off setting.
