Passenger Side Mirror

Hello. Let me first thank you all for the information I have already received here. I was wondering if the passenger side mirror was supposed to tilt down in reverse on all trims? I have a base V6 and was under the impression that the tilting mirror was standard for all Touaregs. I called VW and they thought so too.

I am in Oz and have the V6 Luxury and my mirrors dont tilt when in Reverse. When I was talking with my dealer when I purchased, he believed that it was available only on V8 and V10

I have a V6, basic leather upgrade, mirror tilts, but only when pax side mirror is sellected on mirror adjustment knob

I have the passenger side mirror selected. Still, nothing. Is there something I need to do? set up?

I have the base model V6 too and my passenger-side mirror doesn't tilt either (even with the mirror selected on the adjustment knob). I'm pretty sure it's just a Premium V6 or standard V8 thing...Would be nice though...

I have the V6 with the premium package, and the passenger mirror does indeed tilt.

I don't know if the tilting mirror is on the base V6 or not. But if your car
has the feature you need to set it up. My salesman took me through it
at delivery. The procedure is described in the manual.

To set up the passenger side mirror so that it tilts when reversing, you have to have the Treg in reverse, adjust your passeger-side mirror, then set the memory on your seat preset (1,2, or 3). When you hear the "ding" you know that your mirror is set. Whenever you put it in reverse, and the mirror selector is on the passenger-side mirror, the mirror will tilt down to aid parallel parking. If you don't want the mirror to tilt down, leave the selector on the driver-side mirror.
