In the shop for 2 WEEKS!! and counting

I have an 04 V8 that has had all the problems that everyone else has had. Now when I drive normally down the road the things just looses all power. It doesn't die, just won't respond at all to the throttle position. My dealer has had it for two weeks now, and obviously can't fix it. A guy coming out from VWofNA on Monday to see if he can fix it. I told VW that I wanted it replaced with a new vehicle or I'm starting the ball rolling on the lemon law...

guess what? i had my o4 v8 for 8 weeks with nothing but problems. was in the shop for a total of 32 days! i sent a letter to the president of vw no a to file a complaint and ask for a refund. the last time the car was in the shop vw rep came out to look at the car. with a lot of complaining to the rep and my service manager they have agreed to get me a new 05 t-reg. i'm in the process of waiting for them to find a car that matches up to mine. get to be friendly with the service manager, he will be your best help, mine was fantastic in helping me out. they had a lot of problems with the 04 models, i hope to have better luck with 05. sad part of it all this is a fun car to drive when it works.

good luck.

Much longer and they will have all the time they want to fix it... get a lawyer and send a letter to the dealer, and to their website... Tell them you want a replacement vehicle. Follow up, and you will have a new baby or they will give it the focus it deserves.

how do i get out of my car?

my car is in the shop for the third week this week. This is the second time the first it was two weeks. This time it has something wrong with wheels and alignement.I am so sick of this car.
I called the rep at vw and they tell me they can not and will not do anything. The garage has been pretty good,Must be frustrating to work in an place like that.
I would like to contact a lawyer in my state any suggestions? How succesful have people been with their claims?
I hear ythat the 2005's are a whole lot better ,but at this point i dont even want to try another vw.

The attorney I used is a friend I work with. He wrote a letter which referenced the details of the Lemon Law for my state. He attached a very detailed account that I provided of EVERY issue I had ever had since the purchase of the vehicle (8pages). Granted there were an amazing amount on the vehicle, but I also felt it was a good idea to include the dealership issues I encountered. My attorney did nothing other than the initial letter and one phone conversation.

Don't deal with the rep... contact the website (there is a email contact section) tell them you are sending the letter and that they need to contact your lawyer without delay, and send a copy to the dealershiip, and VWNA. Once the first phone call comes in, the attention should begin.

Be nice. My experience is that they will be too. I told them how much I love the truck and understood that it was the first year. But having a nearly $50K vehicle in the shop and constantly having issues was unacceptable.

We never had to go to court, but did have to continue to contact them for updates.

Hope this helps!
