Hey Ching, we're practically neighbors! I work downtown near Wellesley and Church.

If you want to post a list of changes you may want done it would be helpful in letting me build up a reference list so that we are not experimenting with your vehicle. Things that I've done to mine/know how to do:

-DRL selection in MFI: allows you to turn DRL on or off through the MFI screen
-6 gun salute: Allows you to run xenons on high beam, flash to pass, and foglights all at once (its bright!)
-Eliminate seat belt chime...I'm a seat belt wearer, but it annoys everyone if you leave the car running and the chime is dinging away
-Eliminate nav acceptance screen
-Program transmission to accept paddle shifters, enable hill hold in high range

Yes to DRL.
Yes to 6-gun salute. I have the European light switch. Is that OK?
My seat belt chime does not come on. Never did. Why would that be? I don't want it coming on either.
Yes to get rid a Accpt Screen
Yes to enable hill hold in hi range. Great for my cottage.
Is there a fix for the momentary hesitation when you punch the gas pedal?
Can you get rid of having to step on the brake pedal to start the ignition?
a real useless feature with an auto trans.
Tnx,

Sure, get your sleep now and make sure to take lots of photos. Also, get prepared now - our daughter arrived a month early! Here's a pic of her:

Smoothmd - cool, you're not far away at all. We could easily find a place to meet nearby.

Ching, your baby is super cute!! Looks like a few of us also have our Tregs outfitted with baby seats. My daughter is now 2 years old. When Cropdoc and Nickm meet up for the Vag mods, I wouldn't mind attending as well just to see the process. If you're also available Ching perhaps we can all just have a quick meeting for introductory purposes. The big touring drive can happen later.

Mine is 2 1/2 months and life really change when you have a kid. We bought the Treg just to accomodate our new member of the family and for the quality of the ride too. My wife wanted something that would have more space than a Corolla and high enough for her not to have bend down to put te baby in the car. No regrets at all on our choice to go with a Treg.

Nickm, get ready dude cause you will see the world in a totally different angle but it is the most awsome thing to be a dad. Congrats.

Ching, cute baby. Looks very happy. Congrats to you too.

Ching: what a cutie!!! I love that picture!

On the intro thing, it makes sense..we could all do a day long drive when the weather is better..the VAG process is quick, less than 5 minutes to do a number of changes

Cropdoc: there is no provision (that I know of) for throttle response...on the brake/shift thing, I think this is a mechanical interlock from the audi sudden acceleration debacle (no way to disable this either)

nickm: Sounds good. Let us know the next time you're in Toronto, and we'll find a good place to meet. The bar near my house (Duff's) serves pretty good wings and it's reasonably close to downtown if people are up for that.
