GOOD LUCK - mine is an 08, has the locking rear (was $77k new) and only 1400 miles! You'll be lucky to get $60k As I've learned in the past, some cool wheels that cost whatever $'s don't do much good in resale - annoying but normal.

Post photos though.... people will ask if at all interested.

Dealer in Oakville is asking $69K for similar car.
Oakville Volkswagen Inc, Oakville, ON, Beetle, EuroVan, GTI, Golf, Jetta, Convertible, Passat, Touareg

You might be a little high for a private sale, but still a nice deal.

Good Luck, I wish I had the funds for it, I'd love a V10

You also have to realise that this is the Canadian market. Almost all V10's have to be imported from the USA so there is all the fee's (RIV, AC, 2 Inspections, Mods)for bringing it over the border and 6.1% duty! So your price is much lower than are price. There are NO TDI V10's for sale up here (maybe a few). So they hold there value better in Canada. Also this is a private sale so you save almost $5,000 in tax. This is a very good price. The last two V10's I saw for sale in B.C. where almost $70,000 from the dealership plus you pay both tax's and both weren't fully loaded

If some one wants the wheels they are extra, if not I have a guy in my town that will buy them.

Well, pricing wise you can buy a brand new '07 V10 from Chris (who posts on this board) for $55K, + 6.1% duty+5%GSt + 8%PSt + RIV & AC taxes=$65500 imported and sitting in your driveway. This is for a brand new 0 miles vehicle...the only way to get a V10 is to import it...so while your price is ok, I'd probably buy a new one for $65 (in my driveway) before buying a more expensive used one for $65K + provincial tax.

That said been trying to sell my V8 to get a V10 but its not moving...doesn't seem to be any market for it

That is why I will keep on driving my V8 for a while. Too much depriciation.
I would love a V10 but if I set off the extra cost vs of what I have now, it would not be very smart(unless I won a lottery again).

Thats a great price nickm but don't forget shipping from the USA, Provincial and Federal inspections. You will have to wait months for your emissions sticker from Transport Canada. What options does this 07 have for $65500? Options drive the price up alot. If it has ever option like mine (minus rear lock) then go for it! Or if you don't want to wait then mine is avalible and priced cheaper then the last two that where on auto trader with less options!

The dealer in Oakville Ontario that I linked to above had 3 V10's in front of the dealership when I drove by on Tuesday. Hard to miss as each car had a single 4 foot high letter on the side of it, together spelling "T D I". They also have a W8 Passat in the showroom, but thats another story.

They must be bringing them up from the US, not sure what year and pricing other than the '07 link at $69K.

I wonder how long they will last... as they just got them recently.
