I’m sure this is going to be considered nitpicking, but has anyone found a good way to cover the void left in hole where the ride-height knob would have gone on the US models? :confused2:

I bet mine will have that void too. I hate when vehicle manufacturers leave stupid/unpractical voids in the dash, console, etc when they omit certain features. My dodge has the same kind of useless void up on the dash. I wish the would replace it with some kind of piece that was either practical and/or sleek. So is it just a "hole"...kind of like a small cup holder? Like why couldn't they make a removable change caddy or something. Can you take a pic of what it looks like.

A cup holder for say a little bottle of 5hour energy. Since I don't drink the stuff, the hole is useless.

BTW: re: your signature block... VWoA and the dealer told me my TDI would be here the week of April 18th. I was suprised to get the call last Tuesday telling me it was on the lot.

Ya, thats what I figured for size. Those things are useless. I'll have to find something to use it for or to fill it with.
Thanks for encouraging words regarding the eta. Im really hoping it does come tomorrow or the next day. That would be great. I just wish they could be more precise in the arrival dates.... you'd think that spending that kind of bling on a vehicle, they'd include an express delivery...but no.

here's the problem with men................a female would not ask that question; they'd fill it with a lippy, or a tissue or some other crap that came in/out of their handbag! Put a roll of elecrical tape in there and some fuses; it's blokey (manly) and you'll feel better that you may need to use that tape or fuse one day.:joy:

On the subject of storage and cubby holes for 'stuff', Treg's (all of 'em) fare badly in that dept IMO. Germans clearly do not have clutter like the rest of us. We have 'stuff', and that 'stuff' is hard to hide in the Treg. The Japs/Koreans seem to have lots of stuff and have plenty of hidy holes in their cars to get rid of it. A bit disappointing on the side of the Treg.

You're not the only one... And I won't use it for coins, mini-disinfectant, or any "tape". I was thinking of getting an Altimeter small enough to almost fit in the hole and thinking of custom making the casing to make it fit perfectly. Will post if I decide to do that.
great idea but the t-reg already has an altimeter built in.

Push the "CAR" button, altimeter's on the right 1/4 of the display screen. Hard to miss.

But to the point, I've been trying for 13k miles to figure out what to do with that damn hole. Hopin' someone else comes up with an idea, my well's about dry.

What about a tilt meter, one of them glass dome jobbies with the floating ball inside which shows you what angle your car is at on steep inclines etc.
