Yesterday at the local brushless carwash I saw and spoke to an owner of a Cayenne GT-S model, which has 405 BHP and some very nice ground effects packaging - a really nice looking vehicle! Unusual spoiler...
The owner mentioned that he paid $9000 off sticker for it, which was a surprise considering it is a limited availability (?). I think I would like one, maybe two in different colors? Anyone got a spare 80K to throw at me? (Sigh) Geoff |

I am liking the GTS-Red color on their website. I also notice no chrome around the window. Mean.
Maybe thats what I tell my bodyshop if I get a Touareg 2 and repaint it in a couple years.

Did somebody say $80,000US- at that price I would buy two- then sell one in the UK to pay for the other one.
Here in the UK the basic car is £55,000 but by the time you add the automatic gearbox, metallic paint, tinted windows, air-suspension and Sat-Nav you will have spent £65,000 ($123,500US) or more. I must admit I had a drive of one a few weeks ago- it was amazing- it handled like a small sports car- but accelerated quicker. My wife said it was ugly- but I could live with the looks for the way it drives. I think I will hold out for the new Touareg R50 that has just launched- it has a tuned version of the 5.0 V10, runs on 21 inches wheels etc and accelerates just as fast as the Porsche but uses 15% less fuel. The only drawback is the price- list is £61,350 ($116,565US) before you add any extras (does not need many as most things are standard). I am thinking that a 12-month old example would be a good but after the initial depreciation. Cas

I'm guessing the price difference is made up by local duties you pay to the gov't...anything from Germany coming into Canada costs an extra 6.1% duty..I'd guess the rate in England is probably more like 61%.

according to a salesman who saw next year order guide but in prelim form, there is an entirely new model which he said most likely means not just an upgraded engine but rather a very different engine such as diesel of something else.....
i looked in the gts as well and when you open the rear cargo floor, you'd think you were in a v10 because it is EXACTLY the same. of course the gts seats were a bit nicer

It is the V6tdi that will appear in the cayenne. The first diesel Porsche if you do not count the Porsche Tractor from the past.
Yes, Porsche built traktors, just like the lambo factory did
