2013 Lux. Very satisfied with the offer.

Hoping for the fix NOT to be approved by EPA/CARB. The non-fix Buyback / Keep dollar amounts are very generous. Oct - Dec 2017 deadline with 90 day extension period means next Feb-Mar 2018, I may consider the buyback.

Hopefully CARB continues to reject the 3.0 fixes, as they have in the past.

2015 Exec. Leased to buy

If there is any reduced market value and or reduced mileage or performance, $2,000 is a joke and won't come close to covering the loss.

I am quiet happy. If the buyback happens will be even better, but for me it is either a win or a huge win.

The worst case is the "fix" really messes up the vehicle performance. Then I would take the fix and then spend probably no more than half the money to get a tune. Still a win in the end.

I think there is a separate poll for those leasing. I believe this one is for owners so we can see what the satisfaction rating differences would be between the owners and those that leased.

Very dissatisfied. The compensation is small compared to the other groups and in relation to the total cost of our vehicles. But the worst part, is that under the agreement we can be forced to accept a fix that significantly degrades performance and mileage and VW only has to pay us an additional $500 for this performance decrease. Unlike all of the other TDIs, there is no buyout option unless VW fails to get a fix approved, which is unlikely given the low standard they are being held to in the agreement. And when dealers flood the market with new "fixed" TDIs, our already decreased values from the scandal will be pushed down even further. This settlement is a raw deal for Gen 2 owners, IMO.

Very satisfied at this point. The compensation is far in excess of the "harm" I feel has been inflicted upon me for purchasing this car.

The warranty is the part I am happiest about. I am a couple months from being out of warranty, and when I questioned my dealer about the extended warranty covering the urea system, I was told it did not. I therefore declined the extended warranty. The consent-agreement warranty covers the majority of failure-prone components of these cars, from the HPFP through all emissions components.

I still have some trepidation that the fix may materially affects power or mileage. I'll spend a few hundred of the compensation dollars to get my stock ECU code cloned and I'll probably get a delete tune that I can install after the first major emissions component failure post-extended warranty in case the fix ends up as complete disaster.

Not sure why lessees responded in the owner thread, but ok. We can read the data more or less.

I definitely want the money. I am not sure about the repair yet...

And I definitely would prefer the repair/recall to not affect fuel economy, performance.

Will it have an affect on fuel economy/performance?

If the effect is no change in performance or economy, I will be VERY satisfied,
If the effect is some small change in performance or economy, I will more satisfied than not.
If they fail, and offer a buyback, it will suck and I will be very dissatisfied.

I did because I opened the thread and posted before the lease thread was created.
