Anyone here a TDI Mechanic? I have some questions for a court case.

Car was initially in for repair for approx 130 days, And then back in for an additional 50 days for service.
Some parts not covered because of Damage possibly prior Mechanic, some parts not covered because of Expiration of Warranty 80,000 miles on exhaust system. (even though JMA warranty was still good for 1 years and still had 20k miles left until expire)

Could the some of the damage caused by possible non-VW trained technician?
Was the exhaust leak was noticeable ? Should an experienced Mechanic notice it? Would your mechanics notice it easily?
Does your dealership have Specially trained TDI mechanics? Is there special Training/certification for this car? How many are v10 TDI trained? Are there special tools to take this car apart? How much did that special Cradle cost?
How unique is the car or How many approx total cars a year does a VW dealer see, how many are Touareg v10s?
Car would not of passed inspection due to exhaust leaks.
Turbos was cracked JAM states replaced less than 20k Miles ago. How often do you see VW Turbos go bad? What is their estimated life span when properly installed?

What state are you located in?

Could the some of the damage caused by possible non-VW trained technician? maybe, this question is very subjective
Was the exhaust leak was noticeable ? probably not, they probably do not drive the car in the same fashion you do
Should an experienced Mechanic notice it? Possibly if they have experience in a specific repair with same concern
Would your mechanics notice it easily? absolutely not, we need direction from the customer/s
Does your dealership have Specially trained TDI mechanics? No, there is no TDI certification, there are vw tdi training classes but they are not diagnostic based, only here is XXX component and this is where is lives
Is there special Training/certification for this car? How many are V10 TDI trained? maybe at product launch there was a Touareg tech that went to a class for that model but ultimately not for specifically the V10
Are there special tools to take this car apart? Yes, very much so, but it also depends on what repair is needed
How much did that special Cradle cost? I assume you are referring to the hydraulic scissor table VAS 6131B and its around $10k with mandrels and proper power receptacle setup
How unique is the car or How many approx total cars a year does a VW dealer see, how many are Touareg v10s? ill answer the second part only, about 4-5 a year for customer vehicle V10 TDI's
Car would not of passed inspection due to exhaust leaks. Ok
Turbos was cracked JAM states replaced less than 20k Miles ago. How often do you see VW Turbos go bad? no rhyme or reason, with the exception of the 2011 Passat Tdi with the warranty extension for the turbocharger due to a manufacturer defect
What is their estimated life span when properly installed? Completely depends on how hard the vehicle is driven, how on time maintenance has been preformed. The turbocharger is perceived as having a life span for vehicle lifetime with no specific maintenance interval as a wear item

Not sure what relevance the table has. There are several people on here and elsewhere who have removed the V10 engine perfectly well without it and have even balanced it on a couple of wooden pallets!

Not the point here.

The guy was so reckless he took a chisel to the bolts on the brakes because you know the VW bolts are those huge hollow bolts, and he didnt have the tool to do it.

Les of ....https://www.germandieselmotorwerks.com.....I know he has worked on V10s. But he is about 1/2 hour north of Harrisburg, PA.......BUT he is really good at what he does. Many Jerseyans go to him and I know some Long Islanders go to him also. He is top rate.

Mosquitos refuse to bite me out of respect
