I may be wrong, but I come up with $3500 difference between 3.6 and 3.0TDI.

Also, it seems the decontenting (or removal of options) and option shuffling continues. No 4-zone Climatronic or rear heated seats. But, the heated steering wheel appears to be standard across the board. Yet, you still have to order the Lux package to get the air suspension, i'd assume since that's the only way to get the auto-leveling AFS headlights since they aren't available á la carte. I'll also assume that it's a typo, and both the VR6 and V6 TDI need the package when ordering air suspension.

Not what I had hope (The M-B $1000 diesel upgrade would've been nice), but not as bad as I'd feared (basing out the same as a V8 ).

Really only 2200 less than V8 if you include 19" wheels and lux pkg that comes standard w/ V8

Your correct on the $3500 vs the $2800 I used! I was thinking 40k on the V6, howver, that figure included the destination charge!

Have you discussed TDI marketing strategy?

Hello Chris,

I know it's a little early and you said you don't have invoice pricing yet but has your dealership discussed its marketing strategy for the V6 TDI? I've talked to 3 different midwest dealerships about it and have gotten 3 different answers varying from working off of invoice, to demanding list, to demanding a premium over list [dream on!]. We do have relatives in your neck of the woods we wouldn't mind seeing. Needless to say, it would make a nice road trip.

thoughts appreciated,

Garth
