Hello folks!
Some months ago, I railed against the impending price increases which have now brought 60% price increases to my brake rotor costs from Jan. 2008 to June 2008. Now there is another change coming for late September. So I have been working to get to a best possible supplier for everyone's benefit without compromising quality or brake system integrity. The results matter... Currently, I am using Italian made rotors from an approved foundry to Brembo that exports to my US supplier under their brand, AIMCO. The package is sealed in Italy and a label is applied at the master depot in the US. Otherwise, it is the best quality part made of the correct materials from an OEM qualified foundry. These parts have been above reproach, but the price increases seem to be a strain on clients and on my sanity, too. Some time ago I made the necessary inquiries of Brembo NA to sell their parts, as these would certainly be recognized as a most desirable brand for our Brembo equipped Touaregs. Price was one meaningful consideration. Imagine my surprise when I discovered that Brembo NA did not have these parts in the US for sale thru their own branded line. Hmmm, I thought that was odd, and I made the argument to the powers that be within Brembo NA that they needed to change this state of affairs and bring the Touareg application parts into the US market. They agreed and now this has come to pass... So here is what I am doing to make a difference: Effective today, I am lowering my four wheel kit price by $35, which is 5% of the current full kit total. The new kit price will be $656 plus freight. A front wheel kit will be reduced in cost by $25 to $376 plus freight. Currently, the Brembo packaged rear rotors are not yet available, so the rear kit will stay static at $290 until such time as these rear parts are in country, expected to be by November. (I want to offer a small incentive to purchase a four wheel kit now, so that explains the price disparity here.) Most owners currently purchase a full four wheel kit, so this can be seen as a free lunch on me, perhaps? Simply, my way of thanking all of you... Immediately, I do not have these parts in the warehouse here as they have just become available yesterday in the US for sale, but I do want to clear out the existing inventory of our Italian front rotors so that we can make way for the new Brembo products to come in. So I am going to take a significant price drop to motivate this process along. Remember that the quality between these two parts is not an issue, rather, the relative cost between them is the thing that sticks with me, and this is the issue which I most wished to tackle and resolve. I simply can not abide the increases that have been hoisted on our backs by my AIMCO supplier. A 60% increase this year with more to come is simply not reasonable, as I have already opined. So I hope that everyone will understand my focus and appreciate this move and I trust that this can also motivate folks who were on the fence about purchasing their brake job to get off the chair and make a call to me. I need your business now, to clear out the existing inventory, and make way for the new Brembo branded parts to come. I look forward to your inquiries and as always I remain focused on the best possible brake job at the best possible cost. Yours, Geoff

Geoff,
You truly are a gem! thanks for your continued commitment to supporting the T, and giving us a great alternative to the pricey dealer parts departments! For those who have never ordered from Geoff, treat yourself. He is one of the last great outlets for excellent customer service. Oh, and his parts and prices aren't too shabby either. Thanks again! Matt PS-25,000+ miles on my Aimco pads. I was thru a front set of OEM Pagids by that distance!

Recieved everything today. Geoff really is a great person. He actually took his time and explained everything to me and his customer service is A++++. I bought the kit for the front and rear and it arrived today exactly when he said it would. It means allot when you deal with someone who just isn't trying to make money, you can actually tell he cares more about customer satisfaction more than anything, and that was just from me talking to him over the phone! Geoff thanks again!!

Add me to the list of satisfied customers. After a small shipping snafu that Geoff quickly corrected, the parts arrived at my mechanic earlier this week, and I just picked up the Touareg after having the front brake pads and rotors replaced.
Thank you for providing a quality kit at a substantial savings. My mechanic was impressed with the quality and price and told me he will be sending his other Touareg customers to you in the future! Thanks again. |

I wanted to chime in as I met with Geoff in person to pick up two complete brake setups....one for the V10 and one for a 2500HD Silverado.
Geoff is a class act and his customer service and attention to the smallest of details is second to none. I have never met anyone as thorough as Geoff.....except in my own profession of course I would recommend Geoff in a heart beat. It was an absolute breath of fresh air to meet the man in person. I got stuck in the Boston traffic and Geoff waited for me until I got there around 5:30.....all this on a Friday afternoon. I'm sure he was eager to get home after a long week. He never uttered a word of content and then insisted on unpacking every single item to make sure that everything was correct and to explain little intricacies of the parts. That is a lot of parts for two complete brake setups for two different vehicles. Here is a toast of friendship to Geoff. May your business continue to prosper in a way that your father never thought was possible when he was alive. I know that your father looks down and smiles when he sees you in action. Kindest Regards James |
