Pioneer AVH-P4000DVD Install... Anyone have DVD bypass instructions?? - Page 3

ewaynek, if you have the P4000DVD, that shouldve worked. It perplexed me for a bit too, the way those instructions were worded... as long as you have that switch from radio Shack with the correct part #, it should work... the green ebrake wire run to one post, and a wire to the other post from a good grounded, unpainted, metal surface should make it work. Push that button, and you should see a screen that has an OK button on the bottom right corner.

hello people. I purchased a Pioneer AVH-P4000DVD. I was told that if you purchase the CD-R55 remote control theirs a code that you can use threw the remote to perform the DVD bypass instead of doing the toggle switch thing. Can anyone help me or know where I can get information on this. Thanks. "Doc".....

Hi all.
I just bought this stereo and planning to install it in my Audi B6 this Saturday. I tried most of it's functionality but I can't get two thinks:

1. Is it have a RDS system? Because I've tried to store some radio station but I didn't find a way to display the RDS information (mostly it's the radio name) The only think it show is the frequency of the current radio station (or list of 6 frequencies - not the name of the radio stations) which is so annoying (I have to make some associative arrays in my head to remember all radio stations frequencies

)

2. What should I do to play DivX files? I tried to store some videos (music videos and other movies with subtitles) on a flash memory (1Gb with FAT32 file system) but when I get to the movies folder it show me the folder name in a grey color and they (folders) are inaccessible? So is it possible to play DivX from USB and if so what should I do? Maybe there is something i just missed? Anyway if the playing of DivX files is not allowed from the USB devices then what I need to play anyway?
Nothing mentioned in the user's manual so you guys are my last chance

Oh, I just forgot to say that I've successfully bypass the "motion detection" when I cross the green wire (the long one - "Parking Brake") toggle with the black one (It's the only one black wire) which is for ground/minus. Kind Regards, Danail Petrov
