Looked at it but decided not to. In car DVDs becoming more popular with owners and Thieves!!!!
Elected to get portable instead which can be taken out and used camping etc. Now need to get something like the suspension theatre setup to use it in the treg. Has anyone used this before |

There was a Touareg at my dealership that had them. ... looked great
Now days you can buy decent moniters for 200-500 bucks. Install is probably about 100 it isn't hard and doesn't take much time, i would estimate for two moniters and a DVD system you are looking at about a grand installed give or take depending on quality of components |

I've built my 'custom rear seat video setup' using an Xbox as the main driver. As the kids are the main customers of rear seat video, I wanted it to be a multi-purpose sysem. And I considered the car-TFT screens way too small for 5 kids to watch at the same time. So i bought a 12v 15" TFT (cheaper than most 5"and 7" TFT's), xbox2VGA adapter and power inverter for the xbox (custom 12v power supply perhaps to be made in the future). TFT screen hooked to the front seat using a car clothes hanger and that's it. The screen can be taken out easily and for long rides the kids can choose between Divx and DVD movies (the Xbox plays both after modification) and multi-player games. For the latter I've bought Logitech wireless controllers too. Now all I want to try out now is a wireless LAN connection to another car to have an 8-player gaming experience on the high way
I can post pictures if desired. |

I'm thinking about the dual headrest monitors by http://www.vizualogic.com. I'm looking for any feedback or suggestions.
The total cost installed is appx. $1600 including a tv tuner and dvd player. Is this reasonable or too high? Thank you for your pointers! |

sounds reasonable... if they do a good job. You can expect to pay that easy.

Slam, You may want to shop around. I got the Treg headrest install quoted at 1400 - the vizualogic ones (best ones for the treg) That is install - 2 headsets and the DVD player.
