double din install with nav and sirius- wiring ?

Just took my Kenwood DDX-6019 double din unit out of my old car and pulled the stereo (non nav) out of the Touareg. Now, I had the KNA-G510/Garmin box and the Sirius hideaway box tucked in the dash behind the stereo with the rats nest of wires. How are you guys with the double din units able to get everything in there? Even without the Garmin and Sirius, I think I could barely get the wiring in there. Whats the best way to do this? How do you have the wires run? I have everything ready to be hooked up, just cant get it all to fit.

Also, whats the best way to run the switched wire? I had it hooked up to the fuse box before. What is the best fuse # to hook it up to?

Thanks!

I figured out where most of the wiring goes - above the glove box, and I'm almost finished except I cant push the hu all the way in. This is turning out be a nice little Sunday project.

What are you guys using for switched power fuse? I hooked it up to #1 fuse (trailer wiring) and it powers on and off without the key in. How do I get it to turn on/off with key only? I dont want to have to hit the button every time i get in and out of the car, ha.

I post pics up when Im done.

I believe the two lower rows in each fuse panel are switched power. I used one of them for my radar detector.

Hope this helps,
Matt

Matt- Thanks that did the trick.

Here are pics of my install. Kenwood DDX-6019 with Garmin KNA-G510 and Sirius. Kind of a pain in the butt, but after searching on here how to remove the dash, top part of the glove box, and wood trim, I managed to get all the wiring hidden. Took a few hours, but was mostly me frustrated on getting all the wires to fit behind the HU. I think I had it in and out about 50 times before it fit right. I ended up breaking the two bottom tabs on the double din trim on accident, but it fits tight now, and if it starts to move its an easy fix replacing the double din frame.
