Bluetooth problems

I just bought and recieved my new touareg. i tried to install my phone with the bluetooth premium but my car doesn't find any compatible phone. Do you or anyone else have an idea why this doesn't work. My phone can be recognized in another car so i believe that my car is responsible ...
I thought that this was a system where i can keep my phone in my pocket or do I need a cradle to put in between the two seats upfront.

What brand / phone model are you using? The BT premium unit only works seemlessly with phones that have remote SIM access profile!

Do you have a recent list with phones that I can use

Sorry, I only have info about phones that support rSAP (remote SIM access profile) of nokia:

All "S60 2nd Edition Feature Pack 3", "S60 3rd Edition" and "S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 1" based devices should support the Bluetooth Remote SIM Access Profile (at least some version or another of it).

S60 2nd Ed. FP3 devices:
N70, N72, N90

S60 3rd Ed. devices:
3250, 5500, E50, E60, E61, E62, E70, N71, N73, N75, N80, N91, N92, N93, N93i

S60 3rd Ed. FP1 devices:
6290, N76, N95

and:
Motorola V3 (I think)

Sorry, Samsung D807 for example is NOT! I just checked...
