Back-up camera delay

I have a 09 TDI that has a delay issue. After I shift into reverse there is a delay with the camera coming on. Is this a firmware issue? and if so how do I update the software?

Not a firmware update, at least not yet. I have my RNS510 updated to the latest and it is still delayed. I found this annoying when I first got it since my first experience with a back up cam was in an Infiniti M35x and I was really impressed with it and how it was instant as soon as you put it into reverse. The cam in the Treg is rediculous imo. I hope the next firmware update addresses this issue.

I had a Lexus LX470 and the camera was super quick and the wife drives a Nissan Murano and that camera is super fast as well. Yeti, why did you have an update?
Were there other issues ? My unit is slow to display anything after start up.

I just got ahold of it and put it in. That is just how I roll with stuff like that. It seemed to help start up a little bit, but it is still slow imo. There is supposed to be a big firmware update sometime this quarter. It is supposed to have some major changes to it, but I don't have details.

Does the new firmware you updated latest , take care of the delay of when your entering distinations and all the entry's in the navi/ dest. mode ?

It was for response issues, but I don't know if that was one of them. I did not notice a whole lot after I updated really. It was a little faster, but not a lot faster.

There is a guy here on the forum that provided a link to it. RV65 or something like that. He generally just post in this thread with info about the radios.
