snow conditions and chains on the v-10?

i have a 2004 v-10 and it i recently replaced the OE contis as they stink. i put bridgestone alleuensas on but i doubt the snow traction of the tires and i would love to hear if you can put radial chains on the rig? also has anyone put studded tires on their t-reg? 255/55 r18s

Your owners manual should be able to give you the definitive answer.

Personally.... I never had and likely never will put chains on any 4WD vehicle I own.

The Touareg is an amazing vehicle in the snow..... chains may not be needed.

Snow tires

Have put on studless snow tires on my T-reg 255/55 18 - Michellin X-Ice. Very good on road. Have driven about 100 mph on mine and apart from a little stability issues at the edge, it is great around 90. The tires are speed rated for 100mph on the road. Haven't had the opportunity to drive in the snow yet but will let you know shortly.
