Thanks for the tries, but all I could find is a little block is DOT UN L4 T477. Hopefully this doesn't mean it was manufactured in the fourth week of 1977, LOL. Tire shows as being manufactured in Mexico if that makes any difference.

Maybe check on the other side of a tire (the inside-facing sidewall). Seems like there has to be a date code somewhere.

Thanks Oregon TDI, but in addition to senility, I am also a bit overweight and don't know if I can get under the car to see any code that might be there. I'll try and let you guys know if I am successful.

Ok, guys, found it on the inside of the tire. Decided not to put it up on a ramp so I just backed it a bit until the date code showed up. 0416 so I guess it was manufactured in the 4th week of 2016, so they aren't too old. Thanks for all the help and sorry I didn't figure this out earlier.

Glad you found it. Those tires should still have New Tire Smell!

I'm just now getting back to this thread. The slight decline in miles per gallon is versus the Goodyear Eagles I was driving on since purchasing the vehicle in 2011. I'm observing about a 1 MPG decline.

I ran three sets through of goodyears before switching. Noisy, lousy handling tire, but I did get good mpg. On the other hand, I think subconsciously I hated the tires so much I kept tearing them open on the granite curbs in New Hampshire.

The manual says to set tires at 33F, 39R but you can increase both of these by 3psi for better mileage. When I ran the pressures at +3 I had accelerated wear in the center of the tires so I backed off and they wear evenly now. I have 10K miles on a set of Scorpion Verdi Plus and they are a fantastic tire, very quiet and smooth.

I'm debating between the DWS 06 or the Verde Plus. I think it is close overall for me and with the Pirelli having a longer tread life I am starting to lead towards them plus the fact they are quiet too.

Thoughts all?
