Mythdoc, that's a bit of a bummer as I hoped I would get at least a small increase in mileage over the mud and snows that we had on the Touareg when we bought it.

I have not noticed any decrease in mileage. Have about 10k on mine. Excellent tire.

Currently have 22k on the OE Goodyears. Should need new tires by fall. These looks like the ones to get. Thanks for the info all.

I had the same 22,xxx on the LS2's when I got the DWS'. I might have had another 4,000 left in them but like many, I don't like being under-tire'd and risk crashing because I'm trying to save $100-200 dollars by getting more miles out of a set of tires.

I have a question about inflation on these tires. The sidewall says that the maximum carrying capacity, per tire, is, I believe, 2,271 pounds at 50 pounds PSI. My screen says the tires should be inflated at 33 on the front and 38 on the rear. Due to the fact these are different from OEM tires, should I increase the pressure. Also, where do I look on the tires for the approximate manufacture date?

Keep using 33/38.

There should be a date code molded into the sidewall. Something like "1536", which would be the 36th week of 2015.

I had been running 39F 41R on my first two sets of tires.

The VW dealer had set these tires at 36 F/R and I've left them that way so far. I had towed my boat 35 miles one way/70 miles round trip and all was fine.

Oregon TDI, I have a big favor to ask. I went out twice to try and find the code and, perhaps due to senility, I just can't find it. Would you be willing to take a picture of your code on your tires and send it to me at jalichty@bresnan.net? If you can't, I understand and i'll try something else.

Here you go. This tire (Scorpion Verde non-Plus) was made in the 39th week of 2015.
