well (ENGINEer) from a few posts back has 265/70/17 on his treg and they are just rubbing so put this tire size in to the tire calculator as your stock tire and try the sizes you want to put on your treg, so any thing equal or less will fit!

If anything, your speedo will be closer to accurate if you go with a taller tire since it is off from the factory. They other thing to consider is your odometer will read slower with a taller tire, so that means you are putting less miles on it.

30.5 seems to be the limit on TDI's due to the intercooler vents in the front wheel wells. I believe you can go up to a 32 on the rest non TDI's.

In the UK, the General Grabber AT2 has been replaced by the new General Grabber AT [original naming sequence, eh?!]. Just fitted a set and well pleased.

If you fit AT2 and later need a new tyre or two you may run the risk of not being able to get matching tyres so check on when the supply changeover is happening in your market.

I don't use any of them, but only because I got a deal on the tires I am currently using. I run Cooper Discoverer ATR's on my TDI and I really like them. Quiet compared to BFG's I have used in the past and have worked really well offroad for me too. I have 17" wheels on my TDI though and I tend to run a narrower tire since I live in a snow area where it is preferred imo.
