We often see the question: "What is the biggest/widest tyre I can fit to this wheel?", so the idea is to get as much info as possible of actual fitments by members and to update the list on a regular basis.

If your setup is pushing the limits of what's possible, please post here, the following info:
[*]Tyre size eg. 265/65R17[*]Tyre brand and model/type eg. Bridgestone Dueler A/T D694
If fitted to a non-standard wheel, please specifiy:
[*]Wheel size eg. 7.5Jx17[*]Offset eg. ET55
If you have a thread/post describing the fitment, please post a link to the thread.

If you have any comments/problems/concerns, please add it as well.

Lets see how many responses we get. If we get enough input, I'll make this a sticky for quick reference for all members.

Keep in mind that there could be two parameters that determine the maximum tyre size; the overall diameter, as well as the width. You might find that going to a 32" tyre means you can only go up to 265 width, for example, but you can fit a 295 wide tyre if you decrease the diameter, so we're interested in both cases.

The list also contains the OE sizes as well as recommended off-road tyre sizes, for reference. Currently it only shows up to 21" wheels, as this is the biggest OE size, but I would like to extend it to the 22" and 23" sizes as well.

The more info we get together, the better. So lets pull together and see what we can come up with.
I have the Nitto Terra Grappler 265/65/17 on my '04 V6. Hope this helps.

only does it when steering wheel is around a half turn from center. Doesnt bother me enough to matter.

There are a couple of pics in my profile. Just an FYI, I spoke to Kahn in the UK a little while back and i think the typical offset for the Touareg is +50, not the +52 I have. It's harder to find these in the US because they are UK based. Mine rims are 20 x 10", a few folks on here have 22's as well. I like the 295 45's, but may go with 295 40 next time. Someone showed me this tire size calculator (kudos to whoever it was) which was very helpful. Tire size calculator

so I downloaded the file and took a look, before I purchase the tires I want a clarification ha-ha. 06 standard V8 255/55/18 wheels-
I am debating between

Wrangler Silent Armor 265/65/18 or 255/70/18 ( will they fit?)
bridgestone dueler A/T revo 2 265/60/18
Nitto terra grapplers 255/55/18 or 285/60/18 ( wil lthey fit?)
General at2s 255/60/18

so what would be my best bet?
