Question Falken tire noise

I have Falken ZIEX S/T Z04 255/55R18 109H M/S tires on my 2004 Touareg and while the tires handle very well, they have developed a loud noise simular to a bearing going out (the dealer said it's not a bearing, it's the tires Incidently, my VW does not have adjustable ride height, which might help clear up the problem
Has anyone else noticed this noise with these tires? Is this loud 'tire scrub' the reason that Goodyear and others have developed asymetrical tire tred?

You have cupped tires. Advise is to rotate often, which in your case is too late

Falken tires are known for their road noise issues. I had the tires for approx. two weeks, and even after driving 1000 miles on the damn things they were still noisy and made the ride horrible. I switched tires to the goodyear quiet ride tires and have NEVER been happier. It is amazing how quiet the cabin is when these tires are rollin down the road.

Falken = D-
Goodyear = A-

The Goodyear tires do have room for improvement. I purchased the best ones I could, but they seem to lack asthetic appeal. But that is the only real downgrade.
