UPS SUCKS

so i order my brake pads from 1stvwparts.com thinking im getting a great deal for 138 bucks as opposed to the 250canadian my dealership was gonna charge me. Sounds great untill they arrive with ups ground. THey are such scam artists. They charge a brokerage fee of 50 bucks on top of duty and taxes.This is only charged when things are shipped ground and not air. If they are shipped express there is no charge. The same thing usps and canada post charge 5 dollers for they charge me like %40 of the value of the goods. What a scam. Don't ever use ups for shipping they are a complete rip off.

Fedex does the same thing, but i think they are just complying with export laws. Even when I ship care packages via USPS to my son's unit in Iraq, I have to declare whatever I send as a gift or you pay export fee's depending on the value of the package.

ya i kno wi have no problem paying the duty or taxes, it's this extra brokerage fee they try to add on simply to increase the profit.

...And, another one against Brown-Stripe Express...

I had a package delivered a couple weeks ago, on a Friday. Tracked it from work, it said delivered, on front porch. OK, so I'm thinking I'll get home to a package. Get home at about 9PM, and there's no package. Try to call UPS, but it's after hours, I need to call monday. So, on a gut feeling I walk my neighborhood at 9:30pm. Lo and behold, one street over, not even with a matching house number (6404 vs 6426), there's my package. My name and addy on it plain as day.

Thinking back on it now, I wonder how many people called, said their package was lost, when it was really just delivered to the wrong house! Or, how many people eventually got their package, but previously reported it lost or stolen.

the company I work for ships about a full 48' trailer of packages loaded onto the floor via UPS......we have very little issues....
