ride is not bad at all, lik mentioned above the US Bound Touaregs come with the "confort" suspension
I wish they went back to the way it was and offer the sport suspension. I have my doubts as to how this would work offroad in that it may be too soft and want to bang more over obsticles.

Just test drove the V6 TDI yesterday. I had the V10 so I'm probably jaded by the V10 TDI power. The first thing I notice is the turbo lag before you feel the push of the turbo. This was very annoying as the V10 had instant acceleration. I wonder what happens when towing?? Kind of like driving a V10 lite vs V10 regular. Same feeling as driving the V10 but a little less of everything. The ride was surprisingly good. A little softer than I remember the spring suspension to be. The steering was very light like the V10 so I guess it gets the electromechanical power steering like the V10. No air susp. might be a deal killer for me. Bottom line for me is I thought I would be ordering one for next year but will probably keep my 08 V6 gasser as its loaded with every option and the power is adequate. Even the new nav (as nice as it is) looks aftermarket. I really regret selling the V10 but diesel was $5.35/gal at that time and the fella who bought it gave me what I paid for it new.
I have the latest Mercedes V6 TD in Grand Cherokee and love the highway power, just drove BMW X6 with 3 liter turbo gas engine in it and felt like a slug, having to downshift every time I need to pass someone.
Same feeling, 3 liter TD is a little sluggish right from the start, but after turbo spools up at about 1800 rpm, nothing will catch me.
I am currently in slow process of finding perfect 07 V10, just for the same reason, want neck breaking acceleration right from the take off and more refined transmission, that shifts like modern German cars do.
BTW, is V10's transmission also Japanese Aisin, like on the V6 T-regs, or something else, like ZF????
