Lots of people asked about steelies a while back.

The general consensus was that none were available.

I like the look much better than the common alloys now found on everything.

I eventually found some steelies that would fit the 5x130 pcd hubs fitted all Touaregs [except the 2.5 Tdi which are 5x120 pcd as above since it uses hubs from the VW Transporter T5 van] which I think were Mercedes.

They were a lot more expensive than buying new alloys!

I think someone else also identifed a set of steelies but what or where or which model I do not now recall.

Mercedes sprinter wheels are available in 16" 5x130 pcd, another option for steel wheels.

If I remember correctly the Mercedes G series (Gelandewagen) from the late seventies to now(?) are 5x130 PCD rims.

2012 Touareg TDI ("Badger"), Highline with sport and towing pkg., Canyon Grey/Black. Awesome.

1984 Toyota Landcruiser BJ60 ("Huntley"), Blue/Brown, 3B diesel, manual everything, daily driver for the past 27 years and 454,000km. Priceless.

Dog is my co-pilot.

Hmmm apparently some of the merc dodge sprinters come with a 6J x16 steel rim with a 75mm offset and a 5x130 PCD.

Pinzgauers have the 5x130 PCD too with about a 63mm offset. All 16" rims, however...
