Shifting from Park to Drive when on a hill
Can anyone say how to avoid the gearbox 'clunk' I experience when moving from Park when on a hill to Drive or Reverse?
It doesn;t sound very healthy! I have tried everything from pulling up, putting handbrake fully on, and then shifting into Park - but when I return to move off, the Park gear seems to be very tight and in a way, jammed - moving to reverse makes an awful sound. Any similar experiences?

No, I have not experienced this problem, but try this:
When you pull up,keep the brake pedal pressed down and at the same time apply the hand brake. After applying the hand brake, take your foot off the brake pedal and see that the vehicle is not rolling backwards or foward. If not then put it in park.
