| Question about used V10 Touareg from Vegas area
I just purchased a used 1 owner 2004 V10 Offroad grey Touareg with 49,000 miles on it from a dealer in Colorado but the owner was from the Vegas area. Dealer said VW bought it back from original owner at 42,000 miles in February 2007 because of airbag light malfunction. Dealer says problem is now fixed and has driven it 7,000 miles with no issues. Build date is 04/04. It is being shipped to me next week. After reading this forum....what kind of pain did I get myself into? I am usually not an impulse buyer but the diesel Touareg temporarily blinded all logic. Thanks for any advice you may have. Also, if you happen to know anything about this particular vehicle or past owner, I would be very interested.

Um... it may be the Blue/Silver '04 V10 that my neighbor had that was bought back a few months ago. If it is (I'll get the vin for you)... it was a problem plagued vehicle.
Engine ECU's, turbos replaced, dashes replaced because of a crappy dealership service department. If it's the vehicle I think it is... it was a long standing headache for the guy who owned it. I'll find out for you.

You said in your original post it was off-road gray (missed it-my bad), but then you said yes to my blue-silver question. I'm confused.

I ran a Car Fax on it and it is a Lemon Law buy back. 2-owner - I wouldn't buy it!
