Photoes of the new VW Tiguan

A newspaper here in Norway published these photoes of the new Tiguan today: http://www1.vg.no/bildespesial/show/spesial.php?id=5402

I dont know if they have been published in this forum yet, or not. Anyway, there you have them. What do you think?

My first impression is that the Tiguan is not too exciting.

PS: A remark in the article says the final version of the Tiguan will not look like the photoes....
-whatever that means.

These are test mules that VW has running around somewhere (I think South Africa)... so these are not the production vehicles.

I do like the dash and interior, not too sure on the exterior. Hopefully the final version looks better on the outside.

Is it just me or does it looks quite 'cheap' looking in comparison to other VW models?

Could be that "hyundai" style badge throwing me !

I was thinking the same thing. It does look like a hundai.

Being from FL, I love all the AC vents. Not too fond of the cloth interior though. Looks like the old nissan I used to have....

Don't take the photo above as indicative of what the Tiguan looks like..there's a lot of disguise on the vehicle in that photo ...the tailights are fakes (you can see the indent of the actuals), the logo is a fake (you can see the round indent where the usual VW would go)

I really like the looks of it, and if they price it right it will sell incredibly well. The Touareg could never be a huge volume seller for VW based on price of entry. IMO the Tiguan has the right look and should have the right powertrains/size and fuel economy at the right time in the market. Its obviously not a Touareg replacement (can't tow much, not offroady), but if its aimed at the X3 but comes in at RAV4 pricing then it should become their best seller in north america

The actual production Tiguan is supposed to be very close to the orange colored concept we've all seen pictures of.
