Passenger mirror not returning to set position

I use the procedure in the Owner's manual that is almost the same as what you noted above however the last step is switching off the ignition and removing the key then pressing the unlock button on the key fob. And be sure to listen for the chime that confirms the settings are programmed to that particular key.

Some thing is wrong it has never behaved like this before. My battery gauge is showing 14 volts so I don't think it is a low voltage hiccup.

I guess it could get very expensive to get this solved. If I remember correctly it is the instrument gauge that controlled the comfort settings.
