Newbie Questions

Just got my new (to me) 2004 TDI last night. Fell asleep reading the manuals. A couple of questions....

- The manual set I have seems to be for a gas model - there seems to be no information at all on service intervals, etc for the TDI. Is there a unique set of documentation for the TDI? Could anyone with correct package tel me what the contents consists of ?

- My TPMS is not happy - likely just need to set the tire pressures. I cannot seem to locate the air filler hose that connects to the outlet beneath passenger seat. Can someone tell me where this hose is supposed to be located - mine appears to be missing?

Thanks

My filler hose is in a white bag under the rear seat.

I am going to assume your treg has more than 10K miles by age. Your service intervals are every 10K miles. The brake fluid needs to be changed every 2 years regardless of milage.

Good luck!

Thanks Marty!

I had assumed it would be with the tools and spare - will check the pass seat and hope to find it.

V10TDIGuy - nice handle.

Just over 30K miles, just over 2 yrs in service. It was CPO'd - so am presuming brake fluid has been replaced. I should get a printout of service activity to be sure

Thanks, Congrats on your new ride! I would check the entire service history to see if anything has been missed. It should have just had a major service with fuel filter change at 30K I would make sure that has been done. Also have the brakes checked.

Good luck!
