New Touareg V6TDI 240 h.p. vs Mercedes GL320CDI???

I make a order to VW for New Touareg V6TDI with new engine 240 h.p. At the end of january 2008 will be produced

But am not so sure Touareg vs GL320CDI. Can help me with some advices to make a choice please

With information for technical problems of Touareg and GL, aftermarket value....

I know the Touareg V6TDI will be rated at 220hp and 404lb/ft of torque when it arrives in the U.S. in the first quarter of 2009.

In Europe untill november 2007 V6TDI was 224 h.p.. From november 2007 V6TDI is 240 h.p. I order the same but am afraid make i the correct choice

For this reason is this topic - Mercedes GL320CDI or Touareg

I don't think they are comparable, the GL is quite larger and more expensive than the Touareg. The ML320CDI vs the Touareg V6 TDI would be a more appropriate comparison.

I made a test drive of ML320CDI

ML sucks.
Here in Bulgaria from oficial dealer New Touareg V6TDI 240 h.p. is 54000 Euro w/o VAT with very goog option package. From Germany GL320CDI at 2-3 months with the same options is 54000 Euro w/o VAT too. For this reason i try to make a choice - the price is the same. But from who after 2-3 years i will loose more money - Fro GL or from Touareg?

And what about build quality? It seems Touareg is better than the Mercedes. I make a test drive of GL320CDI from the oficial dealer Balkan star. The car was on 136 km. After 30 km trip lights up a engine problem

The salesman says ,,is not a problem, drive it,,

Whats prefer people in Germany - GL or Touareg?

as already mentioned, You cannot compare the cars. The GL is much more larger.
In Germany during the period from January to November 2768 new GLs were licensed but 10811 Touareg. So the answer is quite easy

Allthough the figures are at low level at all...

I think to go to Touareg. I dont trust Mercedes from 1997-1998, the quality is not the same.

Recently Drove a GL 320CDI. Nice ride, but HEAVY, almost too heavy for the engine. Go with the Touareg V6 TDI.
