engine light on!!!!!!!! 4 faults anyone?

16434 oxygen (lambada) sensor B2 S1: Heating circuit: Malfunction (open Circuit?)
p0050 - 004- no signal / communication

anyone know if these are major or they can wait? I mean the engine light did come on. Let me thanks allot people.

This is just me but I would reset the codes. Could be from a low battery also. You have a wide range of faults. Only the O2 sensor from the 3 would kick the light on.

thanks i did reset it and just the O2 sensor came on does anyone know were that is located at?

I havent specifically looked for the sensors while under there. I know we have 4 cats. Any autozone or car repair place would be able to tell you or google search it and maybe u might get lucky. If no one else posts up on here...post over on VWVORTEX. I am guessing its a secondary (closest to the rear) sensor since u didnt say it went into limp mode. In fact, I need to replace the secondary (Bank 2) O2 sensor in my Mini Cooper as soon as it cools down.

Actually it tells you right there.....BANK 2 SENSOR 1. It will be the rear ones..just dont know the configuration. If they went by common sense...the would be the left rear...but like I said..just guessing without a manual.

i searched and there saying bank 2 is on the opposite of cylinder 1

Sounds correct. Like I said, I would be guessing without a Bentley manual in hand. The O2 sensors are located in the exhaust system right before and right after the cats. They are super easy to replace..but expensive. I have had a check engine light on my Mini Cooper for over 3 years because I dont want to replace it...lol.

There have been sensitivity issues with the older eggs O2 sensors that will cause a code. Check with your dealership -there's a software update to "disensitize" the system.

I have the same issue. I had it reset since i had a bunch of fault codes come up doto a week battery. Had the battery replaced and reset the check engine light but still came back. Mine comes up with a code P0050 - Which i found out is: HO2S Heater Control Circuit Bank 2 Sensor 1Oxygen sensor heater for oxygen sensors before catalytic converter


Since this is my first TREG and i'm learning as i go along, Does anyone know where its located, how much does it cost and can this be purchased at your local auto part store like auto zone, pep boys or online??
